This concept of intelligence and Ego is off center enough to lead you on a wrong path of understanding.
Carl Jung on EGO (My experience of Ego in parenthesis)
1. Carl Jung saw the ego as the center of consciousness (MIND), responsible for identity and continuity in a person’s life (Temporal Personality and Organized Thought).
2. Jung believed that while the ego is necessary for navigating the world, it is only a small part of the psyche, which also includes the personal unconscious (Spirit Within) and the collective unconscious (Mass Consciousness of those around and those involved with you here or otherwise)
3. Jung emphasized individuation (Sovereign-ness) —the process of integrating the ego with deeper aspects of the self—to achieve psychological wholeness.
NOTE: The process to bring Ego towards Psychological Wholeness is through and with Divine Love. Ego must be enticed and want to go towards Divine Love, not you. You must become a holder of Divine Love within you.
Sigmund Freud on EGO
1. Sigmund Freud described the ego as the rational part of the psyche (incorrect – Ego is destructive) that mediates between the instinctual desires of the id (self) and the moral constraints (ethics) of the superego (inner critic of self {id} based in social upbringing and moral constraints).
2. Frued saw the ego as responsible for balancing reality (Ego is not reality – it is illusion taking over reality) with internal conflicts, often using defense mechanisms to reduce anxiety (Ego takes Anxiety/Fear and other negative emotions, blends them into a new “reality-Illusion” attaching emotions and walla – you have a memory based in illusion to work off of. Freud created his pop psychology for mind control)
3. Freud compared the ego to a rider guiding a powerful horse (the id), controlling impulses while navigating the demands of the external world. (Ego desires to take over your Spirit with-in’s sovereignty with the lie Ego will take care of you, it will destroy you. Ego is the wild horse that must be tamed and only Divine Love can do that. Monks deny Ego and all worldly possessions and even they still struggle with it. Once you get Ego working on your behalf, then your ride into spirituality can begin. But, remember – Ego is always present and always ready to take over.)
Anna Freud (daughter of Sigmund) on Ego
1.Anna Freud expanded on her father’s theories by focusing on the ego’s role in defense mechanisms, explaining how individuals unconsciously (when something else controls your Mind) protect themselves from anxiety and internal conflicts (Avoidance of Self for Fear of Anxiety/Harm based in emotional memories that are illusions created by Ego). In The Ego and the Mechanisms of Defense, she detailed various defense strategies, such as repression and projection, particularly in children’s psychological development. Her work emphasized the ego’s adaptive functions, showing how it helps individuals navigate emotional challenges and maintain psychological stability1.
Heinz Hartmann on Ego
Heinz Hartmann developed ego psychology by emphasizing the ego’s adaptive functions, arguing that it is not solely a mediator of conflicts but also has autonomous capacities that help individuals navigate their environment. In Ego Psychology and the Problem of Adaptation, he introduced concepts like the conflict-free ego sphere and primary and secondary autonomy, showing how parts of the ego develop independently of instinctual drives (This is the basis of Mind Control) . His work laid the foundation for modern psychoanalytic thought by integrating biological and psychological perspectives on human behavior and adaptation3. (Adaptation through stimuli)
Oxford on Ego
1.Ego acts as a person's sense of self-worth and importance, which can be boosted or bruised by external events.
2.In psychology, ego refers to the part of the mind responsible for identity and self-perception, as introduced by Freud.
3.The term is also used in idioms, such as "massaging someone's ego," which means flattering someone to make them feel something.
COMMENTS
Karl Jung probably had a more closely aligned definition of Ego I have so far found. The Freud’s and Hartman obviously were looking at Ego as something that could be hacked and controlled or call it Mind Control. The predominant definition on Ego is Freud’s and Oxford basically restates Freud’s position on Ego.
The notes I made in the above descriptions are what I personally discovered regarding Ego. This is a huge topic and I will not go deeper than where this article relays the concept that Ego can be tamed. The process is simple but the application is challenging. What I call Divine Love makes Ego trust Divine Love not you. As you acquire Divine Love, Ego will eventually begin to trust you for what you are doing. Below are a couple stories of talking to Ego internally and the answers.

This is how Ego works; it is smart and sly. Ego is alive and well in your conscious mind.
Intellect is not Ego, but Ego is an intelligence. Mind is like a computer hard drive. Intellect is knowledge held by Source.
Ego is a fabric/illusion of the Mind and produced by the mind to override Source. Intellect with Egos own smart brain is a product of the mind.
Ego actually is corrosive and destructive every time.
Ego is alive and well in your conscious mind.
Ego is an Intelligence, but it is not total or The Intelligence. As an Intelligence Ego has freedoms that Beings and Entities do not experience. These freedoms of Ego allow for a wide array of options and extremely liberal set of parameters as Ego works through your entire physical Human Conditional Form.
Ego, as an Intelligence, is very smart and fully capable to influence and work every aspect of this Dimension for what it tells you,
"I Ego am intelligence and work to your Benefit, so worship me for I
know everything you need to have here on Earth.:"
The Reality of Ego is a battle with Self.
Ego will go to war at the drop of anything.
Ego intertwines with the Devil himself and the whole of Darkness' powers, therefore, the Devil resides in your Mind. This war produces within you, and I mean deeply within the core of you a Guilt.
This Ego produced Guilt is separation from yourself, your Divine Self that came here from Divine Source to live a moment on Earth.
Now Ego has something to play with. Guilt! Guilt produces Judgment. Judgment requires Forgiveness and Ego never Forgives. You are locked on Ego's Hamster wheel. This cyclical illusion is not sustainable over time and commits you to your self-destruction. Ego is a killer in every sense.
You can look around and see Human interactions as they really are, self-destructive and destroying those loved ones closest.
When attempting to move beyond my Human Condition, Ego did EVERYTHING to stop me. Ego has to ability to infect others around you.
As you move past the Human Condition Ego suffers a form of Death. Ego ceases to be relevant in your life and will fight you or cause you to go into conflict with yourself. Honestly it does not matter what or where or who Ego is. Just know it is a separate intelligence working you while in the Human Condition.
When you get this stuff correct, the changes in your life begin immediately and are not illusory or temporary.

TRUE STORIES
Ego is a Devine Intelligence!
I would have to get the exact date looking in my log flight book but it was beginning of the summer of 2019.
It was 6pm, Kahului Airport General Aviation parking lot. I returned from another Island in my V34B Bonanza and closed the hangar. This guy was a student pilot and stopped me to ask questions about a future in flying.
He was from California and we talked about the beaches and he asked what I did and so he heard about War, Ministries, Marriage and children and more. I was giving him advice from lessons learned going through life. I was dropping truth bombs of how the world really works.
I talked about how I worked to improve my life and all the challenges. Told him about Ego and even how the physical and spiritual interact. We talked for 3 hours.
As it came to a close “I have darkness in my heart and I can't seem to get rid of it. This darkness in my heart stays and never is it altered no matter what I have done to remove it". The young man was bewildered by that statement as I said I needed to do something. The conversation ended.
It was not two days and the young man had broken his neck in a surfing accident. As if the very things revealed to the young man were taboo subjects of Darkness and how it played in each person’s life, the tricks, antidotes and what to look out for in other humans, entities and beings. It took the young man months to recover which the young man did and his life was forever changed from that night into his future, though, he may to this day still not know or understand this.
I had a 1 hour drive home and reflecting on my past and my heart caged by darkness I was concerned I would die this way.
Next day, with no planning I met a man who could resolve this for me. I flew to another island and this guy pulled up at the airport in a tour bus asking tourists who signed up to get on. He looked at me, invited me and I accepted.
At lunch break this tour guide and I were alone I blurted out, "I have Darkness in my heart and I don't know how to get it out?" Immediately the tour guide (Keahi) reached for my hand and put his other hand over my heart saying a prayer in Hawaiian. Keahi literally swatted away that darkness like a fly. This is how Keahi and I began a friendship.
Over the next 30 days hands reworking the heart, like weaving a new tapestry was going on inside my chest. The Darkness was no longer noticeable.
Then Ego showed up. Not in a friendly way. I noticed Ego was always moving out of view and going behind to hide and attract negative dark things towards me.
Ego was fighting me in a death match not allowing me to be free to explore Divine things.
Once my heart was free, I stopped Ego, grabbed it, and pulled it right in front of me. Ego appeared as a bulldog, a living thing, more than an energy or idea or part of the psychology.
Ego plays the Human Psychology. Ego had form, intelligence, and strength of will. It was an awesome thing to face. Both troubling and infuriating. So, the I held Ego and with help from Keahi nailed it to the ground, muzzled and chained it, and did not allow Ego to move one inch. Ego was set off to my right side so I could always see Ego and being on the right side I gave Ego its place of respect and standing.
Ego, I discovered, was influencing and intertwining into my Human Form. Ego having shaped over the years, complaining it was for my survival. The truth is it was for Ego to survive not me. I had to convince Ego it could come with me but had to change its attitude. And Ego did.
My decision to move towards a heart centered life threatened Ego. Ego was reacting as though it was going to die and was fighting for its life with all means necessary. Even employing Darkness. There were no limits Ego would have stopped at. Ego was facing its own death as it knew it.
You see, I was changing and evolving in Divine Love and Ego was threatened. Once I arrested Ego, I was able to continue my journey into my heart where I then was able to meet up with Darkness.
By this time I discovered Ego was using Darkness to empower and control not just me, but also my life circumstances and relationships with other people.
Now it was time to come to terms with Darkness. As time went on Ego learned it would not die, but change, and improve and, in time, became friends with me, it began looking out for me if another’s Ego were attempting to oppress me.
Ego now sits next to, on the right side of, and against the right leg purring as a kitten in the body of a Lion. It is happy beyond happy and in love with me. Whenever I think of Ego I pet Ego who purrs back sweetness and delight in having such a wonderful companion.
Ego is not stupid, Ego will come to rest, only in the face of Divine Love.
As time progressed Ego became less of a presence in my life.
Ego has to be tamed my friend. Ego must be tamed FIRST. Ego will twist and turn your psychology in ways to make you emperor for a day and prisoner at night.

This is from another person I knew in Phoenix and I confronted her Ego. She felt it and realized it was separate from her. She went on her own and called me later describing what occurred after we spoke.
July 31, 2021 Questions to Ego
WOMEN: Wanna have some fun? Who are you?
EGO: I am part of you, part of the Divine, part of earthly existence. You need me. You really need me…
WOMEN: Why do I need you?
EGO: I am your protector, your conscience, your force-field, your shield from all humanly things. I do this for you, as you, as part of you.
WOMEN: Can I get through life without you?
EGO: You could, but you can’t separate from me. I’m along for the humanly ride.
WOMEN: Have you been with me through many lifetimes, or do I get a new ego/you every time?
EGO: Aw c’mon, that isn't’ fair. I’m here now, isn’t that all that matters?
WOMEN: No, really, I want to know. Were you with me in Greece?
EGO: Shhh… yeah I was.
WOMEN: And in China for those 900 years –
EGO: geez, I thought you’d never give up that body. Ok, I was there in Japan, too. I really worked with you there. Then, in San Francisco – remember how much you needed me to succeed? I was there, holding you up, putting things in place for you, making you successful. It was me – ego – me, me, me. I did those things for you.
WOMEN: Cool. So what are we doing together now?
EGO: If I told you that, you’d kill me. Haha. Your mother made a deal with me. You were too small to remember. So far, I’ve kept my end of the bargain.
WOMEN: Well, Ego, she’s been dead for almost 50 years. I’d say you’re free of your obligation, wouldn’t you? You worked with Pride and Shame and Vanity and Integrity, too. You guys were like a tag team. She must have made a deal with all of you. So… what are we doing now?
EGO: I’m making it look like I’m protecting you. That’s what you want, isn’t it?
WOMEN: On some level, it would be nice. But since you just admitted you’re making it look like you’re protecting and not really protecting me…. That begs the question – why do I need you at all? This fake it till you make it shouldn’t be your game. Trying to distract me won’t help. It won’t get you out of it. Tell me what you’re doing or we’re doing together.
EGO: Hmmm… I’m preparing you for the next level.
WOMEN: What level? Here on earth or afterwards? If you’ve been with me for thousands of years, shouldn’t you have succeeded by now?
EGO: I am part of you. There is no success or failure.
WOMEN: Ok, duh. Well, I love you for being with me, for doing what you think needed to be done. I love you for defending me – even against myself. That’s a start. I know you’re there when all the tough times got even tougher. And you’re there when all my seeming victories happened. But what is your role?
EGO: I munch up all your energy whether it be from success or failure and hand it back to you disguised as self-confidence and worth. Really, you neeeeed me.
WOMEN: Oh , you’re the reason I’m so tired! Haha How about you sit in the caboose and I take the wheel for awhile? I’d love you even more if you did that.
EGO: Not sure I can do that… I am you, remember?
WOMEN: Oh yes, I remember. And, since you are me, I get to make changes. I’m pressing a different button on the radio now. I love you and I set you free from your obligation to my mother, your obligation to me. You can stay or go. Ego, you need to find peace with that. Really?
EGO: I’m free? I want to hang around, if you don’t mind. I’ve been with you forever you know.
WOMEN: You have to hush now, and let me go on without you. No more chatting in my ear. No more trying to control every emotion and mood.
EGO: Shhhh… Just like that?
WOMEN: Well, you want me to love myself, right? Isn’t that what you’re all about?
EGO: Actually, I use fear more than love, but that’s another story.
WOMEN: Yeah, I get that. You’re pretty good at it, too. Always telling me “bad things will happen if I don’t allow ego to show up and protect me.” I hear you. All too familiar. It’s my turn now. I don’t need to be afraid. You did your job, and I love you for it. Now sit back there and be quiet.
EGO IS A BEING – NOT YOU – ALLUDING THAT THE BEING IS YOU

1-ego is not a negative force that needs to be eliminated but an intelligence to be understood and managed with love…
EGO IS NOT REAL – IT IS A PRODUCT OF THE IMAGINATION OF THE MIND OF A PERSON – DIVINE LOVE WHEN IT REALLY EXISTS INSIDE A PERSONS BODY (NOT HEART) EGO WILL TURN, LOOK, AND COME IN ALIGNMENT WITH DIVINE LOVE AND BECOME YOUR PROTECTOR RATHER THAN YOUR ANTAGONIST.
2-Ego can “rest” when guided by love. This is what I think you mean by alignment with ego and spirit in singularity.
CORRECT – IT WILL GO TO REST WHEN DIVINE LOVE IS PRESENT. DIVINE LOVE BEING PRESENT MEANS YOU DID SOME THINGS RIGHT AND PROVES THAT EGO CAN NOW TRUST YOU
3-You engaged with ego to learn more about it. It seems like you teach that it is not the easy path. Now you see meditation as the “easier” path. So we don’t “need” to engage with ego…
CORRECT – THE SANT MAT MEDITATION BYPASSES EGO. EGO STILL GOES TO REST AND TRUSTS YOU – I WENT THROUGH ALL THE STAGES SO I KNOW THEM WELL. BRUCE JUST WENT TO SANT MAT AND NEVER DEALT WITH ALL THE STUFF I HAD TO.
4-There seems to be a relationship with ego and darkness. Is there something to understand about ego and darkness? Or just focus on the meditation…
EGO AND DARKNESS ARE DIFFERENT BUT THE THING ABOUT DARKNESS IS THAT IT IS VAST AND KNOWELDGABLE AND POWERFUL AND EGO CAN TAP INTO DARKNESS FOR A BOOST AND REALLY GO TO WORK THIS IS WHAT YOU SEE WITH DARK PEOPLE THEY ARE TAPPING INTO DARKNESS AND EGO IS ACCELERATED, EXPANDED, AND BECOMES MORE TRICKY EVEN BECOMING DEMONS AND ANGELS. REMEMBER IT IS A PRODUCT OF THE MIND AN ILLUSION OUT OF IMAGINATION.
